What We Sail
The club sails a wide range of boats, from highly detailed scale models, to out of the box kits, to fast electrics and racing yachts. Below is a selection of some of the more common types.
Fast Electrics
Club 500
Fast, fun and usually mayhem. The Club 500 is a relatively cheap model to buy and easy to make. Everyone's models are the same and so the action is always close. Sometimes a little too close.......
Skippers race in 3 rounds of 5 minutes around a marked course. The winner is the skipper who completes the most laps.

Tenshocks
Tenshocks are super fast boats that usually race around a triangular course to a time limit. Winner is the skipper who completes the most laps.

Yachts
Dragonforce 65
Our most popular model of yacht and probably the most popular single make class in the world. Designed to be cheap yet competitive, the DF65 is a restricted class meaning you can only sail it as it comes, meaning the racing really is down to the skill of the skipper. At less that £160 for model without radio gear it really is an easy way to sample RC yacht racing without a huge investment. |
International One Metres
This is an open class with strict ruling, you can have any shape hull as long as it is 1 metre in length. You can have different types of controls and sheeting. Popular around the world.
